    I Filed Today!

    Okay, I'm on the train. I filed Chapter 7 this morning. I had everyting in good order (thanks to this forum and the Nolo book) - paid the fee, in cash. The clerk looked through my paperwork and said "perfect".

    Came home and the phone was ringing... dispached one creditor already by giving him my case number.

    I still have a few ends to tidy up with FMC and whatnot, but I'm taking this afternoon off. Yipee!!!

    Thanks to all of you for your experience and advice. Next stop... 341 hearing.
    11/09 - Ran out of money - 1/4/10 - Filed Chapter 7 (Pro-Se) - 2/16/10 - 341 Meeting -6/17/10 - Reaffirmation hearing (auto) - DISCHARGED 7/6/10m CLOSED 7/26/10

    Couldn't you have chosen a better 'nick'? Every time I see it, I am reminded of my prep for the colonoscopy. 'Hub

        Sorry! My nickname is short for 'Holly Golightly" - you know, from Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's also my handle from another free legal help board and I used it for continuity's sake. I had no idea they use it as the name of a colonoscopy prep... Well, it has been said that I'm full of $h*t... LOL!

          The prep "Golightly" is certainly a misnomer. Yes it worked, but not lightly. The absolute worst thing you could ever wish to see. Thankfully I washed every glass of the gallen down with another glass of white wine. By the time I was done, I WAS DONE. LoL. 'Hub
