    Question about mailing creditors

I have read through some posts, and I'm a bit confused.

Am I supposed to mail notices to my creditors or does the court do that from the mailing matix that I supplied?

I counted all of the creditors and I have 50 with the additional collection agencies.

If I have to send a certified letter to each one it's going to cost me a lot in postage.

I have told the ones that have called that I filed and given them the case number. Also, all of my debts are unsecured, though I don't know if this makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me!

    Unless changed

I know back in 99 when I filed I just had to send a letter to the one loan I was reaffirming, I didn't send anything to anyone else.

The court will send the notice to everyone on the matrix.

Thanks for the information, I was worried about having to put out more money for the postage.

For your initial petition (filing), the Court will mail everyone on the Mailing Matrix. This document is known as the Notice of Bankruptcy and contains important information for creditors. This documnent contains dates of the 341 Meeting, when certain dates are (like the claims date and objection to discharge date), as well as informs the creditor of the Automatic Stay.

Please know that any papers or documents that you file after the initial petition, may need to be served on one or more creditors including the Trustee.
