    Pay Stubs and Court Copies

New to the forum. Hello everyone!

I'm planning a "pro se" chapter 7 filing and have a couple of quick questions. I've been unemployed for almost a year, so I don't have any pay stubs from an employer within the last 60 days. Should I file the stubs that came with my unemployment checks instead?

The local rules for my district require 4 copies of the filing. Do I also need to attach 4 copies of the stuff that isn't part of the official forms, such as pay stubs, tax return, credit counseling certificate, etc.

    Thanks for your help!

you would give them the stubs from your unemployment checks.

As far as your other question- it's district specific. I would suggest going to their court website and finding out exactly how they want the paperwork and what copies would be required. It should be there. If it is not- call the court clerk.

Welcome to the Forum. I see that your question has been answered.

make sure there are no "gaps" in the unemployment compensation paystubs. That is, you don't want to be missing even one week! that would get your case automatically dismissed. If you're missing any, please check with your State UI agency and have them print a ledger report or similar report indicating your unemployment checks.

          Thanks for the welcome, justbroke.

I'll double-check to make sure I have all of the UC stubs.

When I filed Pro Se back in June, I had to file 2 copies of my petition. Even though the Clerk mailed me an instruction packet on what I needed to bring with me the day of filing, I brought duplicate copies of everything (just in case).

I don't know if you are mailing your forms or bringing them to the court in person, but it's always a good idea to bring extras just in case.

            Best of luck to you!!!
