I don't know for sure, but after looking at their website, it strikes me as an affiliate service sort of like Price Law Group. The work is done centrally by paralegals and they pay a few hundred dollars to a local BK attorney to go to your 341 meeting and use that attorneys law license to access the legal market in that state. Even in bankruptcy (though it is primarily federal law), the attorney must be licensed in the state.
For what you pay (in CO they charge $1,899 + filing fee), I don't think you get very much. It is probably nothing more than a glorified document prep services. I could be wrong, but that is how these "so called" nationwide firms typically operate.Last edited by HHM; 08-11-2009, 10:39 AM.

I haven't used Legal Zoom, but did look at it. Doesn't look like much savings over a regular lawyer, $1,100 to legal zoom, plus state filing fee.
On a related note, a family member used Legal Zoom to file for divorce, they ended up needing an attorney after all. This for a case that had no disagreement on division of assets or child custody.Case Closed > 2/08/2010
