Can you use digital signatures when completing the BK forms if you are not filing electronically? It would be much more simply if you could.

I doubt it, since a pro se filier cannot file electronically. the /s/ is only allowed because a document is filed under a specific attorney's PACER account. It is the PACER account that acts as the authentication of the document, not the little /s/ digital signature. But, to be certain, you can ask your BK court clerk.

No, you may not use digital signatures. The Bankruptcy Court requires "wet signatures" unless you are an Attorney and are part of the CM/ECF filing program. Even then, the debtor's "wet signature" is required on one form that is actually "imaged" (scanned) and loaded into CM/ECF. (This is only required for the initial filing.) Everything else can be "signed" with the "/s/" designation in CM/ECF.
I got dinged for this when I submitted a couple of objections in person. The Clerk immediately told me that the signatures were invalid. I had to sign them again right next to the printed signature. LOLChapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
