    Gifts

What is your opinion on the following statement as it refer to gifts to family members...

List all gifts or charitable contributions during the last 12 months except gifts to family members worth under $200 per individual, and except charitable contributions worth under $100 per recipient.

Does this mean a single item worth under $200 or gifts to an individual as a whole (ie., Christmas presents, birthday presents, etc.) under $200?

As an example, say I get my son $300 worth of gifts for Christmas and $200 for his birthday, does this have to be listed (per Statement of Financial Affairs)?

    Thanks,
    JAG

I didn't list these things. I know I spent about $1500 on my 4 kids for christmas/birthdays in the last year. Nobody ever questioned this.

But, to answer your question, I think this means $200 cumulative per person.
