    Where to get forms?

I was wondering where everyone got there forms. I know that you can download fillable pdf's for free, but they can't be modified or saved. Does anyone where to get the forms in ms word format? I think it would be easier to prepare my case in word as my progress can be saved.

I bought a software program called ( I think) PDFil, it is on my other PC , so can't remember exactly, but I think that was the name.

You can save the forms from the BK district site and fill them in. There are also other PDF filling software and an add on from Adobe I think that allows you to fill PDF forms. Google it.

I think the software I bought was around 20.00. It was fairly easy to use. I filed Pro Se and used it for all my BK docs.

You can save the PDF forms once you fill them in.

As dingdong wrote, the forms are all in PDF and are available on the District's site. Usually, there's a link titled "forms".

It's best, as dingdong also wrote, to get a program to fill in the blank on the PDFs. Some of the PDFs are what they call fillable, but you can't save the information. Using something like PDFfill would work much better.

I know this thread is a few months old, but with PDF fill, can it make the boxes bigger? Mean, can you add more lines to one box that only allows one line of text? I notice on the BK forms, some boxes only allow one line of text, but there are boxes that require more.

        Thanks.

If you have Adobe Acrobat 8 or later, there is a feature in the menu somewhere called 'typewriter'. There you get a text box similar to any MSOffice product and can move it around and type your information onto (into) the appropriate space. Then you can save the document and print it.

          Good luck to you~~

i used a program called Able2Doc to convert the pdf docs from the fed bk website into word docs(as simple as copy/paste), then i could save, fill in, edit, etc...you can get a free trial for a few weeks, once your bk forms are converted to word docs, you dont need the Able2Doc program any longer.

I filled out all my answers in Word for the forms, then I just did copy and paste in the fillable pdf forms and then printed them with a pdf printer driver. There are a few out there (Primo PDF, PDF995, etc). One of the forms I had to use Open Office so I could fit some stuff in it, but most the rest, if it wouldn't fit in the box on the pdf, I would just add a continuation sheet with the info.

                Do an Adobe Free Trial

I know this is old but others may find it useful now.

If you go to the Adobe website, they offer a 30 day free trial of PDF any version except the free Reader will work,) so go and signup, then download then you have 30 days to use it.

I've been doing all of my forms this way and saving them. When the trial is up it will be okay since I'll have everything done.

I did it a little differently since I'm just above being computer illiterate. Don't know a thing about all that cut, copy, paste stuff. I just downloaded ( I DO know how to do that :-) all the forms and filled out every thing in red ink ( so it would stand out) and when I was satisfied that everything was picture perfect, I went back on line and filled out the "real" set for actual filing. was it a pain? yup, BUT my whole case went through without a hitch ( including 3 full pages of financial affairs continuation sheets !) along with multiple comments of praise from the trustee. I took it to heart about the comments in the NOLO books about being ridiculously thorough and accurate, hope this helps those in the same position that I was in.
