Sounds like there's more going on with your Credit Reports than you might know. If you know you only have 3 Creditors and don't owe much then you need to take a look at what the Creditors are seeing.

You can get free copies of both yours and your Hubby's Credit Reports at

    https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

You're allowed to pull one/year from each of the Big 3. Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian.

You might try printing out copies of your Credit Reports and going over them to see what might be the real problem.

There's a section in the "After the Discharge" portion of the Forum totally dedicated to Rebuilding Credit. There's lots of tips and tricks there to disputing and correcting errors in your Credit Reports.

Thanks again Sinking. I will check the rebuilding credit section to see if there are any answers there. I think I see what part of the problem is. The report lists a ton of accounts that have a 0 balance and they are closed. We have bank accounts at more than one bank. Most of them have changed hands several times over the past 10 years. I don't even know why they are listed. Our mortgage has been held by 7 different banks. We refinanced for a better interest rate a few years ago and that bank has also changed names.

We've also got some store credit cards with $0 balances. We opened the accounts because they were giving away free stuff and paid them off immediately. Waht we need to find out is what is generating those comments and nobody will answer that question. Mr. Worried called the Fico people and they told him the computer did it LOL. He got so frustrated he finally just hung up on them. I will check the thread you suggested and see if there are any answers there. Thanks again for your help.
