Sounds like there's more going on with your Credit Reports than you might know. If you know you only have 3 Creditors and don't owe much then you need to take a look at what the Creditors are seeing.
You can get free copies of both yours and your Hubby's Credit Reports at

You're allowed to pull one/year from each of the Big 3. Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian.
You might try printing out copies of your Credit Reports and going over them to see what might be the real problem.
There's a section in the "After the Discharge" portion of the Forum totally dedicated to Rebuilding Credit. There's lots of tips and tricks there to disputing and correcting errors in your Credit Reports.
