Not able to build emergency fund

I agree, A/C is not a luxury here is GA either. Making a blanket statement like its a luxury is like me saying having heat in a house in Minnesota is a luxury and certainly not needed.
I didn't put this thread up trying to find a solution, it was more of a place to vent. I appreciate the reasonable suggestions that have been posted on here. I would probably have
used some of them if I didn't live where a HOA makes life harder. I plan on staying in this house at least 5 more years to rebuild my credit then try to sell and move to a place where
I can do what I want when I want.

Hopefully the new AC will be installed next week and I can once again focus on the remaining year.

lee best of luck with the new a/c, i know georgia weatherwise and we are in the same boat down here in florida. there is only so much one can do also with an hoa, i know ours does not allow window units. hoa's a good in some ways and so terrible in others. in ours at least you can do your garden the way you want and have a bit of freedom, but we are lucky and also on the board LOL!!
