AMEX Settlement

Hi,

So low and behold I come home yesterday, and find a check from AMEX, for some unfair practices, etc. So I googled, and see AMEX had to repay about 112 million to settle regulators accusations. Anyone else get this?

I didn't get a check, but I did get a fascinating letter from them recently.

They are forgiving 208.59. Why? Because apparently they failed to send statements from 12/10 to 2/11. We had stopped paying that August... first unpaid bill, ever.
That credit is for all fees, interest, blah blah on those statements.

I find that VERY funny. So now, I just pay them the other thousands and all will be good.

Interesting. I also got a letter from them about correcting credit report errors... It was really strange.

I got a letter about credit reporting also - made no sense to me either.

I got the letter yesterday about correcting credit report errors. I thought it was pretty strange to get it after all this time.
