So, I just got done converting my CH13 to a CH7, discharged and closed. Part of my CH13 was to strip my 2nd mortgage with a large Bank in and/or of America. They received one partial payment from the CH13 trustee before I converted. I recently received a letter from that bank that they were "forgiving" my mortgage and they were going to release the lien. I also received a letter and a check in the mail stating that they received a "partial payment" and they were unable to accept a partial payment on my account. Since I never made up the difference they are returning that money to me. Man, they showed me. So now, I have a discharged 2nd mortgage that is about to be forgiven AND they gave me back the only money that they received from me (through the trustee) over the last 3 years. Funny stuff.
Anybody else have something like this happen? It really is like a comedy of errors.
