This might be a stupid question gonna ask anyways

if I go to the ATM and draw money out will the TT want to know where it was used? The reason I ask is now that summer is here and people have their roadside stands I like to stop and pick up produce and fruits. They usually have just a locked money box and no one to give me a receipt to account for where it went. There is also a co-worker who sells her produce and such and I like to get things from her and it's cash only.
Wlill this cause a issue haven't file yet looking at the end of this month or mid July.

I was gonna take out around 200.00 to have on hand for all summer long or is that to much and will raise questions

It will show up as a withdrawal, but should not be a problem. If you are asked about it, simply explain as you did here. Also, if you would feel more at ease, withdraw $100.00 now, and then in a couple of weeks, withdraw another $100.00.

we used our debit card for everything while going through bk. all food, gas, household expenses. so there was always 100 here or 300 threre taken out. in was a patterned in our spending and a good way to keep track of the money we spent.

in your case even if you were asked, and it's so doubtful that you would be, you certainly remember where that 200 went...to food! i agree with angelinacat, home grown is the best and those stands usually don't take debit cards

I think you should be fine. If in doubt, you could always ask them to write up a receipt for you?

We withdrew cash (to get used to an all-cash system) and hardly used our debit card, but I did keep receipts for that *just in case*. The trustee never asked any questions (at least not yet), but I think they're more concerned about LARGE withdrawals made frequently, or like $100-$200 withdrawn every day.

Thank you everyone. I guess I'm just paranoid of doing something wrong.

              Hi Pam,

I worried about that too since I started taking out cash to do grocery shopping but I kept my receipts just in case. Our attorney told us the trustee wouldn't really be concerned with withdrawals for food and especially in the range of $100.

I don't think it's a major issue. You have to have cash for lots of things. I used cash alot for small purchases because I just didn't want to use my debit card for a loaf of bread and half gallon of milk. And some stores charge you a fee if you just make a small purchase and want to use a debit or credit card. It just makes sense to have a small amount of cash to make buying things easier and I am sure the trustee would not questions this as long as the amounts weren't excessive.

I have used the debit card for everything although at times I do need cash like Daisy said for just a loaf of bread and milk which I have paid with a debit card and some store do charge a fee if I don't spend 10.00 or more. I do need cash when I go to the farmers markets or those roadside stands they only take cash which got me thinking about all of this. Thank you for all the advice Pam

Just don't withdraw amounts that will send up red flags - like $500+.

I have a shoebox of receipts now going back to years. Just in case. Lord I'd love for it to get picked thru Along with all my junk I'd love for them to take possession of and save me the trouble of weeding thru and hauling out.
Our income is so below median that I cannot imagine anyone questioning our expenses. Other than maybe, "How do you manage"? lol ....(sales,, coupons, mooching)
If your income is also low, I can't imagine a tt hunting down every nickel and dime. What a waste of time that would be. Generally speaking, they are looking for big fish, not the odd 50 bucks. JMHO.
                        Relax, you will be fine.
