    HELP!!! I'm panicking!

I just looking over my petition on PACER, and they GOT MY MONTHLY INCOME WRONG!!! I don't know how it happened, but they underestimated it by about $500! Maybe a typo? I don't know.

PLEEEEEEEEEASE tell me it's not too late to fix this! I don't want anything to jeopardize my case.

    What do I do?

First of all, CALM DOWN. Do NOT panic!!!

    BREATHE... calm.... breathe.... calm.....

I have forgotten if you are a CH7 or CH13. Contact the attorney first thing in the morning and have him/her correct that figure. If you have your notes showing your correct figures, be prepared to go toe-to-toe and tooth and toenails if necessary, to get them to correct the mistake and not penalize you.

Remember what I have said about our own inept <cough* attorney *cough>

How much is it to file an amendment?

BTW, Angelina, to answer your question, I'm filing Chapter 7.

ETA, I just sent my attorney an e-mail, but, it's late here in the Eastern Time Zone, so hopefully I'll hear from him tomorrow.

I want to say that it is about $26.00 for the amendment. However, that was 2007-8. I have seen many different figures quoted here. If your attorney or the paralegal made the error, make them 'eat it'.

        Good luck to you.

Didn't your attorney send you a copy of the petition? I just received mine yesterday with a letter stating my 341 meeting time and date. I scrutinized it to make sure everything was listed.

Have you had your 341 yet? If you haven't, and the mistake isn't fixed by then, when you are asked "is everything true and correct?", say "No", and explain the problem. It will get fixed.

If anything is NOT correct, will it cause the 341 be continued? I hope not. I really want to get it overwith. I don't want to go through it twice.

I thought some of the stress would lift once I finally filed. Now, I think it's worse.

In most courts it's a simple $25 fee to have the petition adjusted/amended.

                Been there and done that.

Just stay on top of your attorney. Ride him/her like you were participating in a rodeo until everything is done to your satisfaction.

                Good luck to us all.
No person in their right mind files a Ch. 13 with lien strip pro se. I have. Therefore, please consider me insane and clinically certifiable when reading my posts, and DO NOT take them as legal advice of any kind.Thank you.
