Turnkey Solutions-Debt consolidation company AND collections agency?

GV has kept things quiet as the cc companies are only calling there-I did get a hangup call at home today though. The number came up "name unknown" but the number was a local area code. I called it back from a GV number I had reserved for just such a purpose (calling back unknown numbers) and got an answering machine for "TKS." A little Googling showed that the same number shows up all over the place doing collections for the NY Post among other things. The company is in Texas, but obviously they're using VOIP. All of my original creditors are still calling so it wouldn't make sense that they've bought my debt already, but why else would they be calling? Do they know I'm in default and hoping to lure me into a debt consolidation scam?

I think it's still too soon for that, and more likely just a general marketing campaign to "lower your interest rate". My mom gets them pretty regularly and her credit is stellar.
