Well, its done, husband filed Chp 7 today. We had the signing this morning and the attorney filed this afternoon. Finally. Months of preparation and questions. Alot of mixed emotion for both of us tonite but we feel good about everything we did before making the decision to file and everything since making the decision. We feel we were proactive in our efforts to do everything we could do to meet our obligations and get the creditors to work with us. Now its time for our family to move forward and focus on us. Husband graduates next June and takes the boards next July, a new career and a new start for us. Thank all of you that helped with all my questions and led the way for us, its all good!

Thankyou for the well wishes. We feel mentally exhausted but good to have that milestone behind us. It still amazes us that we basically begged the creditors for almost a year after my husbands 2nd layoff (half of 2010 and half of 2011) to work with us and we were still paying them. They all said no because we were not behind. Now here it is a year later and they get nothing (and have not been getting anything since June 2011). What kind of crazy system is that! Anyway, no longer need to think about them and time to move forward. This site has been a godsend and you are all awesome. Now time to reread and study up on the 341! Thanks again!
