Found out our case closed on 10-18-11. YEAH!!! Does this mean they won't want any of our tax return in the spring? Our attorney was a little vague about this.

So you have been discharged and closed, right? If so, my understanding is that your refund would then belong 100% to you.
If they wanted any or all of your refund, they would have made you an asset case and kept your case open until your refund came back. Double check this with your lawyer since I am not one!!

If you are discharged and closed, then non-issue for the tax refund. When a case closes, all work is ceased. A case has to stay open for the trustee to administer assets.Comment
