    Payment to attorney

I have a question about the money provided to an attorney during bankruptcy. I never received an Confirmation Order for my 13, thus the Trustee mailed me back my money that I had been sending in for the last 10 months. All this was discovered because I need to convert to a 7.

How would the payment been issued to my attorney? Would he get a % of each payment or a lump sum amount? I am really trying to wrap my brain around it, since only 1/5 of the contract was executed.

My attorney was owed $2000, to be paid as part of the 13. He received his initial fee in cash. Since that order was never confirmed, how much should I give the attorney? He has been wonderful overall.

    Thanks

Generally, the attorney would have been paid a lump sum upon confirmation.

As for what may actually be owed, that is a discussion you need to have with your attorney.
