Actually spoke with attorney today
He lists my home as surrender. I told him that i have been clear all along i intend to stay. He says that's a gray area and will have to look into it further.
Can i get some expertise from the forum?
What should be checked? Should he use the "other" category on statement of intentions?
Should i call the bank and explain. It seems that would be an odd conversation.
Me: Hello, i would like to stay in my home and continue to make payments, however, i do not want to legally reaffirm this debt. The expression "have you cake and eat it too" comes to mind.
I do not want to be held liable/responsible if i walk away in a few years and they sell at a reduced price.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
