Hey All,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I've been served papers for a judgment against me that is being domesticated in Illinois.
The question I have is: Has anyone on the BK Forum had experience negotiating with a law firm who is suing a debtor, as opposed to a ca/junk debt buyer? Does a law firm have any reason to negotiate since it is more likely than not that the judgment will be easily domesticated? Should I try to call the collection agency/plantiffs who hired the lawyers?
Thanks for everyone's help in advance.
I'm pretty stressed.
