I filed a motion to redeem my 2006 Ford Ranger pickup on May 5, 2011. Toyota responded via Attorney on May 23, 2011 objecting and asking for the Full NADA retail value. They quickly withdrew that demand because it was more than I owed and asked for the outstanding loan balance which is 4000.00. I filed a response with a mountain of caselaw and repair estimates from my local dealership for costs to bring the vehicle to NADA "Clean Retail Value. I offered 386.00 which is what you arrive at after you take clean NADA retail and decuct the repair costs. Today their attorney calls me and offeres 2000.00 which I turned down then 1500 which I turned dow I countered with 700 then 1000.00 which they turned down. They now want to have the vehicle appraised 3 days before the hearing on June 30, 2011. They recieved my response June 6, 2011. Should I let them? My fear is that it is their appraiser and he will be biased in there favor. I am taking my car to Carmax today and We Buy Cars and getting there offers.
