I live in Maryland and filed a Chapter 13 that was based on a tax matter. I recently founded out that the state of Maryland never put a claim in. They were notified of my bankruptcy and even have it in their records when I file taxes because they have been sending me refunds. The issue is I have one year left on my bankruptcy. I read somewhere where if a claim is not put in then there is nothing that can be done however I think it may be different for the government agencies. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do at this point? Thank you in advance.
