What's a good way to research about a particular trustee in my state and locale? I wondered how to find others who might have gone through BK with the same person? I'm in North-Central Pennsylvania.
Thanks.
Actually, you may get some answers from forum members but they will have to respond in PM. I don't believe the forum allows trustee or attorney names to be posted. Usually the moderators take that info off.
One other way might be to search back in the 341 posts and look for folks in your area. If they are still on the forum, you could PM them and ask if they mind answering. I found out about one in that way but he wasn't actually mine so it didn't help. Try it and see, can't hurt.
we didn't file in pa, however, many of us in our same district without mentioning names as such, know there are only so many "she's" in the district, although there were 3 at the time we filed.
we also asked our atty and from the get go the firm thought we would have someone else, a man, they thought for certain it would be that trustee, ended up, it wasn't. however, the firm we hired knew and had a good relationship with the trustee's office. actually, one of the questions i asked during the atty interview prior to hiring was: do you know and what has your experiences been with the trustee's in this district and further what type of relationships have your established with the court in general blah blah...
Thanks for the suggestions and thoughts. We already have the atty, the assigned trustee, and the scheduled 341, so there's no changing it now. Was just looking to talk to others who had been assigned to the same trustee.
Potential Client: "Do you have a good relationship with the trustees and the bk court?
Potential Attorney: "Well I used to be married to one of the trustees and the judge here is an idiot"
Potential Client's Dilemma: Go with an honest, open attorney or keep looking?
Sorry, that thought just popped into my weird mind and a little (in this case very little) humor never hurts
Good luck in your investigation
LOL!!!!!!!!!! actually, ROFL!!!!!!!!!!! i think my atty actually told the "truth"...since in court they our atty and the trustee said they'd talk about it over lunch. wow, i thought, did i REALLY get good atty that told the truth. but i wasn't invited to lunch

sometimes people pm's each other with that info. so you might want to seek out others in your area. best of luck!
