What advice, if any, were you given from your lawyer prior to filing? In reading over some of the posts, it seems like people could have been much better prepared had their attorney advised them prior to filing.

i think the answer to this depends on the type of bankruptcy and circumstances. mine was a chapter 7 no asset case. all the work prior to filing was what i did that involved a lot of research and finding and giving the attorney all of the information on all of my accounts. the attorney then reviewed all of this information before filing. it was straightforward and just him making sure everything was in order.
