I wrote my local court regarding filing a motion to vacate a judgment. They wrote me back saying they have no record of this judgment, but somehow this judgment is on my credit report. Do you think there's no lien attached to my house since they don't have a record of this judgment?

Judgment not on record with court but on credit report

In order for a judgment to be attached to real property, a certified copy of the judgment MUST be recorded in the county clerks official records in the same county as the real property. However, a lender will catch it on your credit report and require you to satisfy it prior to giving you a loan. I second the advice from Free2Breathe, call the clerk's office listed on the credit report, the judgment is there somewhere.
