I must have gotten at least at least a dozen of these "Orchard offers" since I filed eight months ago.
Funny enough, never got this type of garbage prior to filing. My "spam" folder has gone tenfold in size over that period of time...

Your email address is on a bad credit or bankruptcy list somewhere and Orchard got ahold of it. Creditors comb credit reports for people that fall into certain classes (i.e., those that have filed BK, those with high balance credit cards, those with bad credit/late payments and those with excellent credit). You can block those searches by contacting the 3 major CRAs. As with any unsolicited email, delete it as you really don't know the true source and always call a place before clicking on anything and answering/applying.Originally posted by JackBondLove View Post_________________________________________

'Tis the season for phishing. Be careful of spams that offer $500 to fill out a "survey" about unemployment. You will give them all they need to be you, and you won't get $500.
