    can you can file chapter 7 bankruptcy without a tax return?will we be disqualified?
    i worked under the table all my life just above poverty my husband is on disability

    With your hubby on disability, I believe there is a form that you can fill out stating that you did not file tax returns because you weren't required to. As far as working under the table, do you show regular deposits in your account that reflect regular income that you haven't claimed? That might be an issue....

      yes between 800 to 1400 a month the people i worked for since i was in my 20's .i'm 51 what kind of trouble am i in? and what is the next step to get out .i have a lawsuit against me from citi bank can they take my car and sell it if i cant apply for bankruptcy before then?it's all we own and i'll loose the little work i have without it it's a 20004 Toyota corolla.

        I think you absolute best bet here is to get a few free consults with bankruptcy attorneys. I would say there will definitely be a question as to the regular deposits. It could raise a red flag with the trustee and my guess is you could possibly be forced to file back taxes. Since I'm not an attorney, I don't know all the legal ramifications. Set up a few free consults, toss out your info. Be completely honest with the attorney about your situation so they know how to best advise you.
