Our attorney has given us the option of taking the credit counseling pre-BK class by phone at home or online at home, (love that we can do either at home!). Which way is the quickest and best way to take the class? Thanks!

well....here we go...OURS TOOK OVER 3 HOURS on line...yet, i have heard of others that it took a few minutes??? so i'm totally confused about it.
both our pre-test and post-test took about the same amount of time to do...and we did it together on line. we also paid while others got it for free...we went thru the suggested one from the court..just also to brown nose a bit...this company sent the cert right to the atty and the courts upon completion of the classes..so you will most likely get different answers to the question...the company us to be CCCS...it's another name now tho.8/4/2008 MAKE SURE AND VISIT Tobee's Blogs! http://www.bkforum.com/blog.php?32727-tobee43 and all are welcome to bk forum's Florida State Questions and Answers on BK http://www.bkforum.com/group.php?groupid=9

To be honest, my pre took about 20 minutes because I did it at my attorney's office and they were rushing to close, so the woman said to put down any answer and click away. My post was done online at home. That is actually timed and has to be done in 115 minutes - no less. That was booooooooring! I actually went through that one by listening to the questions instead of reading.Filed August 20 341 on September 23 Report of No Distribution - September 24 Case Discharged and Closed on November 23!!!

What we got out of both those "tests" were, the pre bk is kind of an interview to see if you are aware of all that you are doing and are you really bk material. Ours went about 15 minutes with a lady asking questions. That was it.
The after 341 test was really neat and online. Took a good hour or better. I was surprised as it was actually interesting and we learned a lot from it. It was worth the $35 for both. I liked it. well this certainly is NOT fair...why did we get the 3 hour test???
we didn't learn anything about money management...although after we were done....some lady got on line and asked if we need food or shelter...i think we came off and were and are so broke it was really sad.
i also wonder if it's based on the total amount of you bk...what your asking the courts to discharge you think...because i THINK I KNOW it wasn't fair that some of you got a 15 minute thingy whist i had to see in front of my computer about payday loans that i never heard of...
not fair!! but then either is life i guess....8/4/2008 MAKE SURE AND VISIT Tobee's Blogs! http://www.bkforum.com/blog.php?32727-tobee43 and all are welcome to bk forum's Florida State Questions and Answers on BK http://www.bkforum.com/group.php?groupid=9

Our Debtor Education class online took 115 minutes as well. Each page of the "book" we had to read was on the screen for a minimum of a minute for hubby, and 45 seconds for me as I took the course second. All in all we spent over 4 hours with the reading and answering the test questions. I actually enjoyed the course, because I learned that I have been putting their suggestions in practice for a while now, so I'm well on my way to financial freedom. Also, our DE course was only around $12 and included both of our certificates. It pays to shop around a bit, unless your attorney wants you to take your course from a specific agency.Filed pro se, made it through the 341, discharged, Closed!!!
