I believe my name might be on my sisters savings account but only as an in case of death/ incapcitated incident. I have no access to this account but vaguely recall years ago signing a form for her. I have 0 idea as to the amount in it. I assume I need to inform her of my intent to file & have her remove my name until this is resolved? Also I live in a home that is only in my husbands name. We have been separated for 4 1/2 years now & I do know my debt exceeds what would be my 1/2 of the equity. Could that be an issue for my filing? Debt estimated at $26,000.00 equity estimate $20,000.00. This is a nauseating place to be!
