    I am getting ready to file bankrupcty and was wondering if that will stop the garnighment of wages?

      yes. make sure to let your employer know also (provide a case #) so they will have the info before the next pay day.

          Yes, all debt collection must cease once you've filed for bankruptcy.
          This included garnishment.

            sorry to bother you, but just so I can sleep tonight, even though they are already garnishing my wages, it will have to stop, and stop from taking my taxes..right?

              Not sure what you mean about "stop from taking my taxes?" Your normal deductions, FICA, Insurance etc, will continue, just not the wage garnishment deduction.....
