Researched my trustee and boy oh boy

Just my luck, I have a trustee who is pro creditors. This is an excerpt from an article I found on him. Of course, his name is not Blank. LOL.

"Blank handles many aspects of bankruptcies, including administering "asset cases," with sometimes surprising results. "There have been several cases where I've sold enough assets that there's been enough to pay all the creditors with interest. And sometimes the debtor gets thousands of dollars because only half the creditors file proof of claims," Blank said.

I'm like a bounty hunter in such instances, receiving compensation based upon assets I bring in. As a trustee I wear a neutral hat and protect the integrity of the bankruptcy process."

I think I am seriously overthinking my BK!! I am freaking myself out and I haven't even filed yet.

I just stumbled upon a website that lists BK judgments. I am curious why so many people had some creditors not discharged?? Why is this?? Some I figured out was b/c property was transferred within 90 days of filing but most were Chase, BOA debts that were not discharged all ranged from $1800-10's of thousands. What's this all about?

Could be major purchases and/or cash advances on the eve of bankruptcy. When you imagine there are hundreds (thousands?) of cases filed each day, its going to happen. Some people do it intentionally, spending all they can while they can. And some do it without thinking - as if they were clueless that it would be a problem.

That's what I figured. I'm just freaking myself out over the car, tax returns, payday loans, etc.

I wish it was busier at work so I wouldn't have all this time to do all this....lol

freddy...you are..it's extemely stressful...and usually most of us are use to having some control in our lives....as opposed to have someone we don't know, and who does not know us make such life changing decisions for us.

I am right with you on this. I have no clue about all this really. I NEED to wait until my attorney meeting before I get myself all riled up. (Too late.) Someone mentioned that we are used to being in control. My life has been buzzing by month after month, so freicken fast, it revolves around 2 paychecks and 2 cycles of bills that eat it all up. I live in stress from one cycle to the next waiting for the bills, wondering if I am going to have enough. Soon we will be waiting and no date will matter except two, the 341 and the....discharge? I really want my 30 days back again. I want to feel like there is more to life than bills.

I think you are doing great. I appreciate your posts here and I hope that by posting you get some relief in this waiting game.

I think I am WAY TOO stressed out. I pulled out in front of someone yesterday though he really should have slowed down prior to getting to where I was at on the freeway. I heard his horn in my ears for about 10 miles even though he got off the freeway after about 1 mile . I must snap out of this.

Thanks!! I have been living the cycle for months also - every 2 weeks figuring out who to pay - who to ask for an extension - who isn't going to get paid period. I can't wait til it's over. I want to be able to not worry about paying the priorities with out worrying. I want to stop the cycle.

I know someone who did exactly that, and ended up having some big items not discharged in her BK...she was not happy.
