Hello! This forum helped me and now I need help for my aunt

Hello!
I was discharged 2 years ago and this forum is great! You all helped me so much to get thru my bankrupcy.
My aunt needs to file chapter 7 and the only thing she owns is a 2004 vehicle with only 28000 miles on it. Its an SUV I believe. It is paid off.
Will she lose it?
She will either be filing in ohio or Indiana.

It depends on how much equity she has in the car. Can you find out what kind it is? Also depends on which state she will be able to take the examptions from.

Well it looks like Indiana will be her best chance for keeping the car but she doesn't get to choose so she'll need to consult an attorney to get help finding out. There is an $8K wildcard in Indiana she could use that might cover her equity, but Ohio only has $1K for vehicle last time I checked. No federal exemptions in either state.
