Can you apply for a credit card while BK is pending??

i did today. Today was the last day for objections and the court says it will be closed in about a week . I am only doing to get my school paid off or they will not let me go this fall or give me fall loans. after that i plan to cancel the card. I already know about the trouble of credit cards and do not want to get into anoter hole. thanks

I would have waited until the discharge posted to your credit report.

Since you already have the card, I suggest not closing it. Having available credit boosts your credit score. Just use like $20 a month and pay it off on the next bill.

I would've waited to apply as well, but since it's already done, I suggest you use it to your advantage in rebuilding your credit score.
