Hi everyone,
My daughter is headed back to college in a few short months and will need more money than what is coming to her in the form of loans. Last year I took out a parent plus loan and believe it or not I was approved for $10,000 to help fund her tuition. My loan is now in a "suspended" status and I will begin making payments again in October.
We have an end of August date for our discharge from chapter 7. My question is should I wait to get discharged first before I apply for more funds or should I go ahead and try now? Yes, I know this is more debt for me but if I do get denied (and I'm thinking this is going to be a for sure denial) she then would qualify for more money. What would you do and if I do go ahead and apply would doing so harm my discharge?
