Will my landlord be notified?

Under the contracts section of the petition, I listed my rental and cellphone agreement. I have never been late with any of these payments and am getting ready to file. Since they are listed under contracts, but not creditors does that mean they will still be notified? I'm more concerned about my landlord finding out than AT&T. I live in a large community that probably doesn't rent to someone who has filed bk. I don't want this to be an issue when my lease expires. TIA.

If you listed them, they will be on the mailing matrix.

Landlord does not need bankruptcy, if you offer a lease. Or it may decide to do so, you have no mandate.

I listed our lease on the schedule G. We were not/are not late with rent, so there was no need to put them on Schedule F or our creditor matrix. If you did not list them on the matrix, they will not get a notification. Our landlord didn't receive a notice.

If you are not late with rent and cell I would not list them. In some districts (mine) if there is a lease listed on G the court will make you amend to add to matrix for mailing purposes. Maybe not in your district. I made the mistake of listing my residential lease because like you I was trying to do everything right, ended up costing me a couple months of hairy negotiations with landlord because he freaked out. Bottom line is, you pay rent in advance, not arrears, and if you are not late then technically you do not have a credit relationship, hence no need to list. Same for cell phone contract. No trustee is going to ask you for proof of a lease, they all know you need to live somewhere and that cell phones ain't free.

No worries. It was a reminder of what it was like prior to filing, yeck! I've come a long way. I just wish my discharge would hurry up and come through!
