Hello to all,

Well, today I received my first calls and two e-mails from my HELOC ( second mortgage) lender. It only took them eighteen days from the due date to start the calls. I am not planning in responding to any of their calls/emails. Well, maybe I will refer them to my chapter VII lawyer who seems to enjoy talking to creditors. I reset my answering machine so that the outgoing message is that generic one that it comes with and I have also lowered the volumes so that I don't have to hear them.

Any other suggestions?

Honestly, I would set your answering machine with your name not the generic message. Only a couple have left messages here - but at least they know they have gotten me and haven't started calling friends and family yet. If it's a generic message, they won't be sure and might be more likely to try other measures.
