I am a Finance Manager for a California corporation. We have been trying to contact one of our UK customers for payment for over 1 month now, and have not heard back from them. A few times we received replies from their Sales Managers saying they would attempt to help us contact their Accounting Department, but after awhile they stopped responding.
I have found that their website is no longer up and all of the emails that have been sent are now bouncing back. I have sent a certified letter to see if we could contact them that way, and still nothing. Not to mention the 100 phone call attempts.
Another one of our clients mentioned that this UK company MAY be filing for bankruptcy or already have? Is there anyway to confirm whether or not an International company has filed for bankruptcy? In the US I think you can call a local court house and ask, but I don't think the same rules apply in this case. Any suggestions on what I can do? I am really fresh our of ideas...
