    Lawyers go home and tell their wife yes is was slow this week only had 3 new cases. They need money as a biz like anyone else.
    On the flip side, would you really want an attorney representing you that would so easily cave...

    Also, the firms that do BK's for $1,500 ARE NOT offering the same thing as firms that charge over $2,000. Bankruptcy representation is not like buying milk at the grocery store, if you want a higher level of expertise, better service, more attorney involvement in your case, then you will pay more. If you are ok with having your case pawned off on a paralegal, and only talking to your attorney twice (at the initial consultation and at the 341 meeting), then you will pay less.
