    Yikes, how do I find an attorney??

    There is one guy in town, I just looked him up on AVVO, and he has a TERRIBLE rating! So does the other attorney I contacted through his web site. (Two different attorneys). I am freaked out now!

    My Dad talked about something he saw on TV called legalhelpers.com or some such thing. Any experience there?

    No info on that site, but if you're in a small town perhaps try looking in the nearest 'large' town/city?
    Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
    (In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)

      We are primarily a bunch of little towns here -- the largest cities within 50 miles of me are mostly in Washington State. I don't know if that matters, as long as the attorney is licensed in OR too. I have contacted a couple of them in the Portland and Salem areas to see if they work over here as well. Guess I will look in the cities in Washington that are close by. Thanks.
