Can I open a new bank account after 341 and before discharge?

Want to open a bank account with the husband. Is there any reason why I could not do this now? 341 was in mid March in So Cali. Thanks again.

I opened 2 new checking accounts post filing and certainly before discharge. Dumb banks were playing with my money!

I opened a savings account the day after I filed for Chapter 7 so that I could put my bonus in there to earn interest until I used it to pay for childcare this summer.

I'm planning to do this too (open new checking account before discharge, post 341)...I wondered though whether at this point we have to provide the court with the new bank account information? (Atty's staff doesn't think so but are double checking w/atty to make sure.)

You are safe to open a new checking or savings account before or after a 341 meeting. I did. I opened a checking account after filing and the trustee DID NOT ask me for a statement at the 341.
