Had my first consultation today and I already feel a lot less stressed out.Go back in 2 weeks to find out if we qualify for a 7 or 13. I can't wait to get this thing done. I want to thank you people here for all the help.He said I saved him 30 minutes because I already knew more than 99% of people that come through his door.

I'd been visiting this site for a while before going to the consulations. Every attorney I talked to said I was very well prepared and educated on the process. That tells me though that most people probably don't have a clue about the process which isn't good.
I had one attorney tell me I had to do a CH13 without even running the numbers. Said if you're over the median thats just the way it is. When I mentioned the means test and sch. I & J, he got surprised and a little miffed at the same time. Needless to say we didn't retain him. Found another that so far seems to be doing a good job.
