    Newbie question

Hi, I am really enjoying this forum. It's very helpful. We have our first appointment with a attorney next week to see if we qualify for Chapter 7. I have a question. We quit paying 6 out of 13 credit cards about 6 months ago.If out attorney thinks we qualify will he more than likely tell us to quit paying all of our unsecured cards? Thanks for any help.

Yes. If you know that you will be filing BK, an attorney will recommend you stop paying. No point in doing so at that juncture.
First consult: You go now, no CH 7 for you. You spent entire buffet. 13 has a 95 percent payback. (Owwwch) On to next consult....

Thanks! I figured he probably would. It seems stupid to keep paying on unsecured CC debt that would be gone after BK anyway.
