Question Which exemptions do I use?

Hi everyone...I've been reading quite a bit on this forum and it really has enlightened my view about pre-planning for BK. I also purchased the Nolo Chapter 7 book to aid in my research of BK.

I was hoping someone could give me an answer about which exemptions I can use. I recently moved to a new state (a little over 91 days ago), so I know that I cannot use my current state's exemptions (which does not offer federal exemptions). However, my old state had the option of using federal exemptions or state exemptions - can I choose federal exemptions or am I forced to use state exemptions?

If your prior state allowed the use of federal, then you may opt for federal.
