His credit is decent. I'm filing chaper 7. My question is this. I know it will be on my record for 10 years. We want to get married eventually. Say in 5 years we get married will my bankruptcy have an effect on his credit? I don't want that to happen. I'm worried once my name legally changes to his all my past mistakes will haunt his credit as well.
