Debt Consolidation and Forclosure Tax Forms

I recently resided in MI. Had a home, tried a short sale, and ended up with forclosure. The forclosure has gone through as of about July of 09, now I am getting letters requesting the $31,000 difference. I did the [removed URL] and it did make the process easier. However, they told me that I need to have some accounting form filled out. Form 934 or something. Does anybody know anything about this and/or an accountant that does.
-I don't want to go to just anybody to do my taxes because I don't want to miss something important.

***on a second note.....debt consolidation? any information on how this goes, I know there's a ton of companies out there that offer it but I don't know anyone who's been through it.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I don't know thing one about foreclosure, but the general consensus on debt consolidation is that it works for only a very small segment of the debtor population, and that at best, it simply forestalls bankruptcy. Debt consolidation is a business that offers an inferior solution to financial problems.

Go straight for bankruptcy. It's certain, and works 100 percent of the time. (although creditors would have you believe otherwise)
