I think we've discussed this many times. I have first hand proof that having crap credit will get you nowhere. A recruiter called, and blah blah a few minutes later said they will do a credit check to weed out people. Asked if I had a problem with it. Well of course I did. My credit is horrible. This isn't the first one either. i've received many others. So my job prospects just went waaay down.

I just read the same. I'm sorry to hear that. I guess I take for granted that my industry is very "within itself" so to speak, and most people know everyone in it. I don't think I could get a job outside my industry, not making what I do. And, to that point, I tell everyone that especially nowadays, it's who you know that gets you a job. I couldn't imagine fighting it out with 100 applicants. Best of luck to you, I know it's brutal out there. (of course, the White House thinks the recession is over!) IDIOTS

A clearance and good credit is no guarantee these days. I lucked out in my job, but only got 4 interviews after sending out close to 500 applications and resumes. This was two years ago. It has gotten a lot worse since.First consult: You go now, no CH 7 for you. You spent entire buffet. 13 has a 95 percent payback. (Owwwch) On to next consult....
