Hello, I am starting to wonder if I have atty "issues". I have a 2nd home which he has known about from the beginning our talks 5-6 months ago. 2 months ago we had a big water damage issue in that same home which he knows about all the ups and downs with the insurance company. My husband is a contractor, who can fix the cabin and obtain work from it at the same time since he has no other contracts in the works, so at least we would have food on the table. All of these things he has been privy to as soon as they ahve happened. We have not filed yet - have just been completing the work and waiting on him. Now, he comes back and says we can't keep the 2nd home AND we should not work on the cabin with the insurance funds. This is opposite from what he had been telling us from the beginning - that it was ok. I feel like I am the one asking all the right questions, but not getting the correct answers. It is what it is in BK - I get that. I suppose I am just starting to wonder just how hard he is working on our case (for our benefit) now that he has our $3274 in deposit. There are other things too, but I just feel like maybe he isn't working for every dime we are permitted in this process, and guiding us the way I feel $3274 upfront deposit should do. Please let me know if I am being unreasonable!

Attorney issues?

Oh but I did. He fired back with basically: "if you don't like what i'm doing find another attorney".
I'm from New York and have a thick skin, and am used to clients occasionally directing their frustration at me, the bankruptcy attorney. That said, if you don't have confidence that I am analyzing your situation thoroughly and giving you the right advice, you should find another attorney.
I have billed roughly $1,400 of the retainer you gave me. I can return the difference, plus return your $274 filing fee, and we can terminate the representation if you think that is the way you want to go.
