    proposed bankruptcy changes

theres a debate going on to change a few laws.the junk debt collectors would have to come up with the last statement issued on accounts.its in question if they have legal claim and the statue of limitations has not already run out on the debt.although this is being done in some courts apparently not in all.....also for chapter 13.when a house goes through a 13.the debtor who has kept up on payments.after its all done are getting hit with attorney fees from the morgage creditor.nice to atleast know that for once maybe someone is looking after the debtors best interest.

Unlike most people I don't think the real problems lie at the collections end. Personally, I'd like to see debt reselling go the way of the dodo bird because I think it's economically inefficient. The real losers in the debt resale market are the Junk Debt buyers. Frankly it's just a form of multi-level marketing in disguise.

I frankly haven't payed much attention to proposed reforms because I don't think there is any interest in Congress on serious reform.
So the poor debtor, seeing naught around him
Yet feels the narrow limits that impound him
Grieves at his debt and studies to evade it
And finds at last he might as well have paid it.

Yeah, this is not serious reform. Just another stupid political ploy.
