Question No Longer Paying for House - Taxes & Insurance?

I am planning to file CH 7 in June/July and missed my mortgage payment this week (first time). We are planning to let the house go.

Anyway, our monthly payment includes our real estate taxes and our homeowners insurance. Both of these are paid 2x/year. What should I do about these? Pay them myself since the mortgage company will not have any $ in my escrow account?

The bank will make sure the house is insured against loss. You may need to get some liability insurance in case someone gets hurt and sues you. In most states the property taxes attach to the property. So I wouldn't worry about paying the taxes.
