How long after you file is the BK info posted in the newspaper? What does it normally say?

How long after filing is it posted to the public?

Whether it's posted in the newspaper or not is a local media issue. Why worry what it says? It doesn't change anything. If you're worried about your name in the paper, it's usually in the business section and only nosy neighbors read that.
It is actually immediately public and available through a computer system called PACER which is available on the Internet. However, it is not "publicly" searchable so won't show up in a Google or Yahoo! search... unless you have a case where caselaw is made due to some specific item being litigated.

I'm not worried about people seeing it but I have been receiving a lot of random letters from people wanting to sell me a car or other crap after my bankruptcy and I was wondering if maybe they saw our info in the newspaper? Is my address is posted with the notice? I just filled a couple weeks ago and have not been to the 341 yet.
